The Sun Valley Beach Day Camp is within reach of
all Cobb, Douglas and Paulding County families, located at 5350
Holloman Road, Powder Springs, Georgia. Our 1.5-acre crystal clear
pool is the focus of this camp. Within the 40-acres at Sun Valley we
have the opportunity to be very active on the volleyball courts, open
fields, nature hikes, perform team building exercises to develop
trust, self-esteem skills and work individually on craft projects that
match our theme for the week.
Our camp consists of 3 divisions: Safety
Fins, Dolphins, and Belugas. (See right column for age breakdown of divisions)Each
swim lesson program will be geared to the division age group. Safety
and swim ability for the young campers. Junior Lifeguard is the
focus following Red Cross GuardStart
program for campers ages 10-12(introduction) and 13-14 years old. We
have daily free swim time, play grounds, swing sets, open fields,
basketball hoops, and a new hiking trail on the property for all
campers to use.
Along with all our fun activities, our campers
build respect for others by making friends and learn responsibility by
caring for their possessions.

Camp Hours 7 am to 7 pm
DAILY SCHEDULE (times subject to change due to weather)
7:00 - 8:00 a.m. - Begin drop-off,
"splash"-in, turn in snack money for safekeeping.
Breakfast available and free play with games and equipment at Day
Camp Pavilion until 8:15 a.m.
8:15 - 8:30 a.m. - Split into age groups at respective Pavilions.
8:45 - Attendance and organizing for days events. 9:00 - 12:00 - Group activities which could include swim lessons,
team sports and games, crafts, outside presentations. Snack
provided near 10:30 a.m.. 12:00 - Lunch served. 12:30 - Very short reading time leading into preparation for free-swim (includes
sunscreen application)
1:00 - Free swim at the pool (t-shirt provided; restricted from deep
water swim in shirt). 3:00 - Exit pool for attendance and will be given access to
concession stand with parents permission and funding. 3:30 - Return to designated pavilion for SVB snack
4:00 - Free play with games and equipment begins again as parents
begin "splash"-out. Small groups
organize to visit playground and perform team activities.
6:00 - Merge age groups again to Day Camp Pavilion for
"splash"-out.
7:00 p.m. - Camp closed.
Campers are required to wear shorts, shirts
and shoes (tennis shoes and pool sandals are needed daily).
On a cool day they will want to wear weather-appropriate apparel.
They will need a swimsuit, towel and sun screen each day. Please
label everything with the camper’s name, food, clothing, etc. Bike
helmets will be required occassionally, weekly for horseback riding
lessons.
Sun Valley Beach provides a light breakfast,
morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. A menu will be provided.
Camper may still bring lunch, drinks or snacks if preferred. The
concession stand will be available for the camper only after open
swim in the afternoon and subject to parents permission. All snack
money will be turned over to the bookkeeper for safekeeping upon
arrival each morning.
Each camper is responsible for his/her own
possessions and must NOT bring any TOYS, TRADING
CARDS, ELECTRONIC GAMES, CD PLAYERS, JEWELRY, CELL PHONES OR
VALUABLES. Occassionally an activity will be
planned and we will allow a specific item to be brought to camp.
This will be requested as far ahead of time as possible.
